There are a million ways to mess up as a mom. Being the "perfect parent" is virtually impossible so there's no way that any of us will emerge without battle scars. The best thing we can do is learn from our oops moments and move on.
Getting a squirmy kid to sit still is a challenge that all moms will face at some point, so trying to do chores can seem almost impossible. What's the easiest way to get a few extra minutes so you can quickly clean up or get a load of laundry in the wash? Keep them in a high chair as long as possible.
This sneaky tactic could work unless your kids decide to repeat that word or phrase over and over again until they're practically shouting it. That's may be your cue to call in reinforcements (aka dad).
We know that raising kids is tiring. Sometimes ...okay, most of the time... you just don't feel like cooking, especially when you know there's going to be a mess in the kitchen that you will have to clean later.
How many of you are guilty of this one? Whether your child keeps you up all hours of the night or you stayed up way too late binge watching your favorite show, you're half awake during the day. No matter how hard you try to stay awake, sometimes you just can't help it. As soon as you lay down, it's over...you're already drifting off to dreamland. Maybe an extra large cup of coffee with help you keep you awake for a little longer, at least until they go to bed.
